Lab Policies
Unless you are specifically instructed otherwise, you must comply with the
following policies regarding laboratory exercises.
1 Purpose
Labs are intended to help you understand the material covered in the
lectures and readings. Most labs involve guided "experiments" that are
designed to help you discover/realize things that you might
otherwise be unaware of. Other labs are designed to give you additional
experience with a topic or help you acquire skills.
2 Tools
You should use the course-approved development environment for labs
(so that you will acquire some important skills).
3 Collaboration
The kind of labs used in this course are most effective if you discuss
them with someone else while you are working on them. Hence,
you should, but need not, work on them in a group.
4 Submission
You are not required to submit completed labs. Hence, labs will not
be graded. However, you are responsible for the material covered in labs
and questions related to that material may appear on exams.
